We are Clayfolk
Discover the story behind Clayfolk, a ceramics studio in Folkestone with community at its heart.

The Clayfolk Studio
Explore our studio and get a feel for the Clayfolk space.
Our fully accessible studio is equipped for every stage of the making process. In the throwing area, we have six Shimpo wheels and two large ride-on wheels. For hand-building, we offer generous workbenches stocked with tools, an extruder, and a slab roller. There is a large reclaim station with bats and vats to recycle clay, alongside a well-stocked glazing bay with buckets of slips and glazes. Finally, our two trusty kilns fire work from the drying racks to completion.
As our gallery evolves, we hope to capture the life of the studio - the people, the process, and the creativity that defines Clayfolk.
